Homemade Catapult

We had fun making this catapult out of objects we found around the house… bottle caps, clothespins, large popsicle sticks, a box, and a couple bricks.

I put bricks in the box to weigh it down.

I used a hot glue gun to attach everything in this order: clothespin onto box, popsicle stick onto clothespin, bottle cap onto stick.

Then we searched the house for various objects to catapult into the air.

We got to see which objects fly farther, faster, or higher than others.

Then we set up numbered paper plates to shoot for points.

Spiderman says catapulting through the city is way more fun than web slinging.
