52 Wet Ways to Play

Water is one of The Chief’s favorite toys!
Here’s a collection of 52 outdoor water play ideas.
1.
DIY waterfall… with a water hose thrown on top of a patio umbrella. This is The Chief’s preferred way of filling the kiddie pool.
2.
Water hose with a sprayer attached. Looks, feels, and sounds just like rain when you point it up really high.
3.
Or you can make it rain inside a canopy or umbrella by attaching the hose at the top underneath with duct tape or rope. Point the hose so the water hits the ceiling, spreads, and falls back down like rain.
4.
Water-filled cheeks make excellent man-made rain.
5.
Inflatables rock! Not because I can play on them (which I can’t… LAME!!) but because I love any toy that can be easily set up and conveniently stored away when not in use. This waterslide is a huge hit for playdates and parties!
6.
Water Xylophone.
Compose silly songs by banging silverware and wooden spoons on glasses and vases filled with water at different levels.
7.
Can’t go wrong with a water table or water-filled storage bin… for any age! Sponges, buckets, funnels, plastic bottles, bubble soap, and Kool-aid packets are a water table’s best friends.
